Tanis marks with a dot peen marker
Tanis is a family business, with its headquarters and development centre in the Netherlands and a global network of representatives. In Oosterhout, Tanis employees have been developing production lines for all kinds of confectionery for more than 25 years, specialising in production lines for making the tastiest gummies and jellies.
The unique in-house Innovation Centre gives (future) customers insight into the entire production process, from working out unique recipes to putting together the optimal production line. There, Tanis' food technologists and process engineers address all questions about confectionery production.

Marking for easy assembly
Production lines made by Tanis are taken apart before shipping. They are marked to quickly have the parts back in the right place on the line at the final destination.
In addition, the tested parts are marked to clarify precisely what has been tested and approved.
They do both operations at Tanis with an E-mark dot peen marker from SIC Marking.
Dot peen marker proves to be the solution
In the past, work was done by applying stickers. These got wet, shifted or torn, and thus, the information lost its legibility.
For a while, etching the marking seemed to be the solution, but in practice, this also proved to have some drawbacks: the marking was not always deep enough or very neat.
The E-mark dot peen marker provided the solution:
- an easy-to-use handheld marker
- which consistently makes a clear and legible mark
- and by adjusting the settings, the depth of the marking can be altered.
